Nokia provided Action Impact with the opportunity to build and manage a stand for the new segment show at Gitex, Mobile Apps World.
Action Impact’s brief was to design, build and manage a 10m x10m stand for the new segment show at Gitex, Mobile Apps World.
Participation at the event was Nokia’s unique opportunity to establish Ovi Store and Nokia Platforms for all MENA markets.
The objectives were simple:
1. To Maximize Ovi Store as the star lead service.
2. To demo, engage and encourage developers to utilise the Ovi platform for App creation.
3. To establish Nokia presence as the main player in local App market and the leader of mobile devices.
4. To provide Data Capture and networking opportunities.
The design was based around an art café style environment, the interchange of ideas and sharing of expertise - deliberately anti establishment and the place where people would naturally congregate and meet at Gitex App World.
The stand was welcoming, open and approachable from all sides with a central feature to house a meeting space and prominent Ovi store branding. Clear circulation was allowed with one continuous table that ran through all four main areas of the stand.
Nokia handsets were fixed directly to the top surface of the tables to demonstrate specific apps and digital photo frames were recessed into the table tops for playing Nokia tutorials and retail videos.
The hero feature of the stand was a suspended 360 degree square LED Screen providing a high visibility branding opportunity and creating a vibrant attractor to the stand. For the screen content, Action Impact created a bespoke animated sequence featuring the Ovi logo and recognisable APP icons.
