The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) announced the winners of outstanding interior design/architecture projects in the UAE.
The Decade of Design Competition seeks to honor and celebrate the significant impact that interior design/architecture has had on the changing landscape of the UAE.
Action Impact were recognized with a Presidential Commendation Award in the Cultural/Institutional/Educational category for the design of ‘The Saadiyat Story, Manarat Al Saadiyat’ experience centre built to market the development on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, commissioned by the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC).
Other projects and design agencies also commended include Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP for Burj Khalifa - Level 153, Wilson Associates for the spa at Atlantis - The Palm and Dubai Sports City Interior Design Dept. for the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

*Manarat Al Saadiyat is a purpose-built 15,400 sqm visitor centre, designed to bring the vision of the island alive. Inspired by the rich local tradition of storytelling, The Saadiyat Story is made up of nine chapters that articulate the different facets of the island’s past, present and future. The Saadiyat Story, Manarat Al Saadiyat is open to the public from 10am – 8pm daily.
*TDIC’s Saadiyat Island development will house the world’s largest single concentration of premier cultural institutions, including the Zayed National Museum, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum, the Performing Arts Center and Maritime Museum.
