For the 8th International Calligraphy Awarding Ceremony and Exhibition, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) selected ACTION IMPACT as the agency of choice to deliver this turnkey project; designing, installing and managing the exhibition and producing the prestigious awarding ceremony, including its screen contents.
The main calligraphy exhibition displayed over 200 calligraphy pieces from a range of international artists and was initially spread over two areas of the Emirates Palace, with the winning pieces presented at the opening of the award ceremony.
The award evening, attended by over 250 VIP guests amongst whom members of the royal family and various ambassadors and high level government officials, started with the official opening of the exhibition by H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon al Nahyan. Famous Arabic TV presenter Ms Hissa al Falasi added glamour to the award ceremony, where a total of 28 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners received their prestigious awards out of the hands of H.H. Sheikh Sultan himself. The best qanoon, qabla and table players in the UAE were hand-picked to entertain the guests while they enjoyed their meals.
After the awarding ceremony, it was up to the ACTION IMPACT logistical team to make the two separate set ups into one unified exhibition, which was very well received by the client, VIP guests and the general public.
