Standard Chartered 10k Road Race 2012
On Friday 27th January, 23 members of the Action Impact team ran in the 2012 Standard Chartered 10km Road Race to help raise money for their chosen charity, Al Noor training center for children with special needs.
The race this year saw a new venue, with the starting line located in Downtown Burj Dubai. The race started at 7.15am on a cold Friday morning with the participants making their way around Emaar Boulevard, then briefly onto Trade Centre Road and up to the Trade Centre, making a U turn at the Novotel and then back. There were approximately 17,000 runners throughout all three events; Marathon, 10km and the 3km fun run.
Congratulations to all those who participated in the 2012 Standard Chartered road race. It was a great event and we look forward to running again in 2013.
