Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) launched the impressive Guggenheim Museum project on Sadiyaat Island, just off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
The announcement was one of the largest and most significant moments in the development of Abu Dhabi's tourism industry. Witnessed by press, the agreement was signed between the Guggenheim Museum, Frank Gehry and the Abu Dhabi government. An important event held at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
The scale of this announcement was significant. Action Impact received a brief from TDIC that outlined the requirements of the event and an indication of how they would like the stage and set to look. The client was guided through changes that needed to be made to the design based upon the scale of the event and also considering the grandeur of the room. A production team was assembled with the necessary skills needed to deliver the event in such a tight time frame. Whilst the details of the production were reasonably straight forward, there were a number of plasma screens and projections that required various formats ranging from power point, to video, to still imagery to take place simultaneously throughout the event. After the press reveal, the guests went to lunch and during the 45 minute break a set change took place for a very detailed presentation session to the press. The important announcement was a huge success with worldwide coverage.
