In the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi the bridge was officially named and dedicated to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Khalifa Bridge is the first step towards the vision of Sadiyaat Island and the Abu Dhabi 2030 plan.
